This CDC Injury Center video uses a train metaphor to explore how adverse childhood experiences can shape—and sometimes derail—life’s path. Along the way, the journey encounters fog, storms, and blocked tracks, all representing interconnected risks like suicide and substance misuse.

I concepted and wrote the piece, using a storybook tone to keep things approachable without minimizing the subject. The train doesn’t just face challenges—it finds ways through them, with small course corrections and moments of support that help it reach brighter ground.
